About this property
Delightful house moments from the river Alde.
Snape is a delightful village set on the River Alde, internationally renowned for its concert hall and the excellent amenities at Snape Maltings, including galleries, independent shops, cafés and three public houses. Kiln House is located within the renowned historic building of Snape Maltings, which dates back to the mid-19th century and was originally established by the entrepreneur Newson Garrett. It later became one of the largest and most significant industrial maltings in the UK, producing malt for London breweries. Following its closure in the 1960s, the building was transformed in 1967 into a concert hall and arts centre by the composer Benjamin Britten.
