Privacy Notice

Last updated 23 July 2026

Who we are

Homello is a UK directory of new-build developments. This notice explains what we do with personal information when you use the site or send an enquiry. We are the data controller for that information.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the details you enter: your name, email address, phone number if you give one, your reason for contacting the developer, your current situation and timeframe, and any message you write.

We also collect standard analytics about how the site is used — pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser — through Google Analytics.

How we use it

  • To pass your enquiry to the sales team for the development you asked about.
  • To respond to you and follow up on your enquiry.
  • To understand how the site is used and improve it.
  • To send you marketing about similar developments — only where you have opted in.

Our lawful bases are your consent (for marketing) and our legitimate interest in operating a property directory and passing on enquiries you have chosen to send.

Who we share it with

When you submit an enquiry we share your details with the developer or sales agent for that development, so they can reply to you. Once they hold your details they are a separate data controller and their own privacy policy applies.

We also use service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudflare (hosting and storage), Postmark (email delivery) and Google Analytics (site analytics). We do not sell your personal information.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for up to 24 months so we can handle follow-up questions and understand demand, then delete them. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention settings.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for it in a portable format, and withdraw consent to marketing at any time. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to measure how the site is used. These cookies are not essential to the site working, and you can block them in your browser settings or with a browser extension.
