About this property
The Jackson Building is an impressive period building believed to date from approximately 1877. Originally forming part of the Oxford Military College, it was designed by celebrated Victorian architect Sir Thomas Graham Jackson, from whom the building is believed to take its name. The site was subsequently acquired by William Morris – later Lord Nuffield and founder of Morris Motors – and was used by Morris Motors and later the Nuffield Press before being converted into residential accommodation. This fascinating history gives the property a genuine connection to Oxford’s architectural and industrial heritage, particularly fitting given its close proximity to the present-day BMW MINI Plant.
