Walstead Park by Bovis Homes · Scaynes Hill Road, Lindfield, West Sussex RH16 2QG

Walstead Park is a new build housing development by Bovis Homes, part of the Vistry Group, located off Scaynes Hill Road, Lindfield, West Sussex (RH16 2QG). The project is planned to deliver a total of 200 new homes, including a mix of private and affordable properties, with the first residents moving in as of August 2024. The available market homes are a mix of detached properties ranging from three to five bedrooms.

The development offers several distinct house types, including the three-bedroom 'Hayward' and 'Watermill' designs, and the four-bedroom 'Snowdrop,' 'Bedale,' and 'Primrose' designs. Properties are constructed with an emphasis on energy efficiency, featuring high-efficiency double glazing, roof and floor insulation, and water-saving measures in kitchens and bathrooms, which Bovis Homes states can reduce water usage by up to 20% compared to the UK average. Standard features across the new build homes include open-plan kitchen/dining areas, French doors connecting to gardens, and dedicated off-street parking, with integral garages provided on certain four and five-bedroom plots like the 'Sydney' and 'Buxshall'. Each property comes with a 10-year NHBC Buildmark warranty and an additional 2-year customer care warranty from the developer. Walstead Park is situated adjacent to open countryside, offering convenient access to local amenities and major transport routes. The development borders a newly created 23-acre country park, which includes woodland, wildlife areas, and a wetland walk, providing on-site green space for residents. For daily needs, local amenities are within a short distance, including a Tesco Express and a Morrisons Daily, both located within five minutes of the site, along with the traditional nearby pub, The Snowdrop Inn. Educational facilities in close proximity include Great Walstead School (0.6 miles) and Northlands Wood Primary Academy (0.8 miles). Transport links are centred around Haywards Heath train station, located approximately 1.7 miles away (a six-minute drive), providing fast rail services to major hubs. Commute times include Brighton in approximately 14 minutes and London in around 45 minutes. Road connections are provided via the M23 (18 minutes' drive) and M25 (30 minutes' drive), with London Gatwick Airport reachable in about 22-25 minutes. The development is actively selling, with show homes (the three-bedroom Hayward and four-bedroom Snowdrop) available for viewing by appointment. Buyers should note that Bovis Homes' customer satisfaction track record has historically been mixed, and while they have achieved a high HBF star rating, previous independent reviews have cited snagging and aftercare issues. Prospective buyers are advised to seek current, site-specific feedback and confirm all specifications.
