Oaklands is a new build homes development by Redrow Homes, forming a distinct part of the larger Ledsham Garden Village masterplan in Ledsham, Cheshire (CH66 4DF). g., five-bedroom detached properties at Sycamore Green). A quarter of the total housing stock across the wider village is designated as affordable homes. The development primarily features high-specification three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached properties. All properties benefit from a 10-year warranty. A significant practical feature is the inclusion of energy-efficient technology: many models, such as the three-bedroom semi-detached 'Letchworth' house type, feature an air source heat pump (ASHP) as standard for heating and domestic hot water, alongside underfloor heating on the ground floor. This 'Eco Electric' approach aims to reduce running costs. Standard internal specifications include en-suite bathrooms, downstairs cloaks, open-plan kitchen/dining areas, and ultrafast broadband connectivity. Oaklands is situated eight miles from Chester and approximately 11 miles from Liverpool, benefiting from direct road access to key commuter routes. The development is minutes from Junction 5 of the M53 motorway and is close to the A550 Welsh Road and the A41, linking to Birkenhead. Public transport is facilitated by Little Sutton Train Station nearby, offering Merseyrail services to both Chester and Liverpool in just over half an hour. A new, regular bus service, the Stagecoach 6/6A, now operates every 30 minutes (Mon-Sat, approx. 7am-7pm), providing direct connectivity between Ledsham Garden Village, Ellesmere Port town centre, and the Ellesmere Port train station. Local amenities are planned and existing. The wider masterplan includes dedicated open spaces, sports pitches, a community centre, and allotments. A new, two-form entry 210-place primary free school is proposed for the development site, with a potential opening date of September 2026. For shopping, a Tesco Express is a few minutes from the development. Extensive retail and leisure options are available at the nearby Cheshire Oaks Designer Outlet Village (which includes a multi-screen cinema) and the Port Arcades in Ellesmere Port. Redrow Homes is a major national developer with a reputation for design and product quality, often holding a 5-star builder status, though prospective buyers are advised to conduct due diligence, including site-specific searches, as is standard for all new build purchases. For current availability, specific plot prices, incentives (such as Redrow's Help to Sell scheme), and to arrange a viewing of the show homes, interested parties should contact the developer directly. The final phases of the wider Ledsham Garden Village are ongoing, confirming this as an active and evolving development.
